Re: sample application in red5 404 error found

Rajdeep Rath
OK, why are you even using a flash client ? I thought you are creating Android Java app.

At this stage you don't need to make a application. You should always start with a built in default app. In Your case you should start with the vod application.

1. What kind of client  are you using ?
Flash or Java

2. What kind of streaming playback do you want ?

Simple http streaming ?
Rtsp vod streaming ?
Hls streaming ?

Re: sample application in red5 404 error found

Rajdeep Rath

I can explain vod app usage to you buy the primary issue is that, you are not making a android app and you are not making a flash app.

I don't think you can stream from red5 to a plain java application like that. There is no normal way that I can think of. May be you can look around the web.

Perhaps you can try vod over hls using simple HTML 5 ?

#1 correct . Red5pro provides SDK for Android and iOS. Search !

#2 you don't need to setup anything in eclipse. Just use the vod application that ships with red5 / red5pro (commercial).

If you use flash, yes you can integrate PHP. There are lots of resources on flash PHP. Just search !

#3 you can google for red5pro vod hls

Here are a few ,:

Re: sample application in red5 404 error found

Rajdeep Rath
If you want your red5 app to do something extra other than the regular simple streaming , you may want to put some extra logic in there. For that you need to know red5 application development using eclipse. For must use case / beginners using the default apps live and vod is just fine.

I don't think you can stream from red5 to a plain java application like that. There is no normal way that I can think of. May be you can look around the web.

Perhaps you can try vod over hls using simple HTML 5 ?

Media files should go into your streams directory of the vod app. Go through this:
